Case Studies and Testimonials
Hear what some of our clients in the Reading area had to say about our services.
Retired businessman needed help around the house
Mr. Cooper approached us after his nanny retired. As a single parent of an eight-year-old boy with an active lifestyle and attending many sports clubs after primary school, a full-time nanny/housekeeper was required.
The role was to get the child up, fed and ready with everything he needed for the school day. After the walk to school with the dog, the tasks included cleaning, tidying, laundry and preparing a simple supper, which Mr. Cooper could take over upon his return at 6pm. The cover was just during the week including school holidays.
Mr. Cooper said:
“When Joan, our previous nanny, retired I really did not know where to start as she had been with us for many years. A colleague recommended Nannies Matter as they had just used them to recruit a live-in nanny. The process was made much easier as they visited the house, met us all including Joan and therefore fully understood what we were looking for.”
Night nanny to give Mum some respite
Mrs. P said:
“It was the birth of my fourth child that made us take the bold step of having some night time help. I had read about night nannies in various publications and it all made sense so I could get a good night’s sleep.
This allowed me to care for my other three children along with the newborn during the day (two were at school). I had tried other agencies but this role was not one they could readily fill and I was offered other alternatives that did not fit the bill. Nannies Matter did manage to find me Susie who was an ex-nurse looking for some part-time work.
This arrangement was on a temporary basis for three-four months and then I would move onto a day nanny for a few days a week. Susie was flexible to move into this role and also does some babysitting for us along with picking up the children from school.”
Working Mum needed after-school nanny
Mrs. Traynor had been working part time so could cover her childcare needs. Due to a recent promotion, her hours increased so that she did not return home until early evening so needed a flexible after-school nanny to collect the three children from two schools, bring them home, feed them and supervise homework. Depending on when Mrs. Traynor managed to get home, she also needed to get them moving in the direction of bath and bed!
Mrs. Traynor said:
"Nannies Matter moved swiftly to find me Katerina who is lovely and so flexible that I do not have anguish if my train is delayed as she is more than able to cope. With some notice, she can also do the odd evening or sleepover if it necessitates."
